La /ɪ/ es una vocal corta y floja que en español no existe. Cae entre nuestra _i_ y nuestra _e_, y aparece en decenas de palabras cotidianas. Es la vocal que más confunden los hispanohablantes, porque nuestro oído la asimila a la _i_ de siempre.

**Cómo se produce**

- 👄 **Boca:** ligeramente abierta, labios relajados y sin estirar.
- 👅 **Lengua:** adelante y algo alta, pero **más baja** que en /i/.
- 🔊 **Voz:** sonora, corta y sin tensión — no la alargues.
