### La /n/: nasal, sonora y con la lengua en el alveolo

La /n/ se produce levantando la lengua hasta tocar el alveolo — justo detrás de los dientes de arriba — mientras el aire sale por la **nariz**. Es igual que la española, pero en inglés aparece muchísimo al final de palabra, y ahí sí hay que trabajarla.

**Cómo se produce**

- 👄 **Boca:** entreabierta; el aire no sale por ella.
- 👅 **Lengua:** la punta toca el alveolo y **se queda ahí**.
- 🔊 **Voz:** **sonora** y nasal — el aire escapa por la nariz.

**Lo oyes en:** _no_ · _nice_ · _man_ · _soon_ · _again_

> ⚠️ **El error típico en español:** soltar la lengua demasiado pronto al final de palabra y añadir una vocal. _Man_ no termina en _mana_: la lengua se queda arriba y el sonido se apaga ahí.

**Al terminar vas a poder:** sostener la /n/ final sin añadir vocal después.

### The /n/: nasal, voiced, tongue on the alveolar ridge

The /n/ is made by raising your tongue to touch the alveolar ridge — just behind your top teeth — while the air flows out through your **nose**. It's the same as the Spanish one, but in English it shows up constantly at the end of words, and that's where the work is.

**How it's made**

- 👄 **Mouth:** slightly open; no air comes out of it.
- 👅 **Tongue:** the tip touches the alveolar ridge and **stays there**.
- 🔊 **Voice:** **voiced** and nasal — the air escapes through the nose.

**You hear it in:** _no_ · _nice_ · _man_ · _soon_ · _again_

> ⚠️ **The typical Spanish-speaker mistake:** releasing the tongue too early at the end of a word and adding a vowel. _Man_ doesn't end in _mana_: the tongue stays up and the sound dies there.

**By the end you'll be able to:** hold a final /n/ without adding a vowel after it.

O /n/ é produzido levantando a língua até tocar o alvéolo — logo atrás dos dentes de cima — enquanto o ar sai pelo **nariz**. É igual ao do português no começo da palavra, mas em inglês ele aparece muitíssimo no fim, e é aí que dá trabalho.

**Como se produz**

- 👄 **Boca:** entreaberta; o ar não sai por ela.
- 👅 **Língua:** a ponta toca o alvéolo e **fica lá**.
- 🔊 **Voz:** **sonora** e nasal — o ar escapa pelo nariz.

**Você ouve em:** _no_ · _nice_ · _man_ · _soon_ · _again_

> ⚠️ **O erro típico de quem fala português:** nasalizar a vogal e nunca encostar a língua, como em _bem_ e _bom_. _Man_ não termina numa vogal nasal: a língua sobe, encosta e o som se apaga ali.
