### Tercer ejercicio: las combinaciones _æn_ y _æt_

Aquí ya no trabajas sonidos sueltos sino **combinaciones**: la /æ/ seguida de /n/ y la /æ/ seguida de /t/. Son dos terminaciones muy frecuentes, y cada una obliga a la vocal a comportarse de forma distinta — delante de la /n/ se nasaliza y se alarga, delante de la /t/ se corta.

**Qué vas a practicar**

- 👄 **Vocal:** mantener la /æ/ abierta en las dos combinaciones.
- 👃 **Ante /n/:** el aire pasa a la nariz y la vocal se alarga.
- ✂️ **Ante /t/:** la vocal se corta y la /t/ final no se suelta.

**Practica con:** _man_ · _plan_ · _can_ — _cat_ · _hat_ · _that_

> ⚠️ **El error típico en español:** cerrar la /æ/ hacia la _a_ española en cuanto llega la consonante. La vocal tiene que aguantar abierta hasta el final.

### Third exercise: the _æn_ and _æt_ combinations

Here you're no longer working on isolated sounds but on **combinations**: /æ/ followed by /n/, and /æ/ followed by /t/. These are two very frequent endings, and each makes the vowel behave differently — before /n/ it nasalizes and lengthens, before /t/ it gets cut short.

**What you'll practice**

- 👄 **Vowel:** keep the /æ/ open in both combinations.
- 👃 **Before /n/:** air moves to the nose and the vowel lengthens.
- ✂️ **Before /t/:** the vowel shortens and the final /t/ isn't released.
