Where to start: your ear before your mouth

The fastest way to improve your speaking isn't learning more words: it's learning the sounds. If your ear can't tell two sounds apart, your mouth won't produce them either; and the reverse is just as true — the moment you can produce a sound, you start hearing it everywhere. That's why this course starts with vowels, moves on to consonants, and only then works on rhythm.

What you'll practice

• 👂 Listening: telling apart sounds Spanish doesn't have, or that sound identical to us.
• 👄 Producing: placing your mouth, tongue and voice in the right position.
• 🔁 Repeating: pronunciation is muscle memory, not theory.

Practice with: a recording of your own voice · a mirror · short clips repeated many times

⚠️ The typical Spanish-speaker mistake: studying pronunciation by reading about it. You can understand exactly how a sound is made and still be unable to make it. Every lesson is practiced out loud or it doesn't count.
